Shargaljuut hot springs and wellness resorts are 60 kilometers from Shargaljuut soum’s Bayanhongor aimag center. They are situated atop a rocky pass on the Shargaljuut River’s northwestern side. Based on the structure of the spring sprouts and fissures, more than 100 mineral hot springs have been named after human body parts and organs. The hot springs, which are between 45 and 96 degrees Celsius and flow even during the frigid Mongolian winter, are said to cure a wide range of health problems, and many Mongolians visit a nearby sanatorium for treatment.
