In the year 1724, the Second Bogd Gegen Luvsandambiidomen was born.The Dambadarjaa .Monastery was finished in 1765 and dedicated to the remembrance of Mongolia’s Second Bogd Gegen, who succeeded Zanabazar, the First Bogd Gegen. The communists closed Dambadarjaa Monastery in 1934, and 107 of the monks who lived there were executed. After the fall of communism, the monastery was reopened and has lately been renovated.
