The outflow from Khar-Us nuur runs into Chono Kharaih, a tiny river that flows into Lake Khar Nuur/Black Lake, which is home to several migratory pelicans. Khar Nuur’s southern end empties into Dorgon Nuur, a big saltwater pond. Dorgon Nuur’s eastern location is a bone-dry desert with vast sand dunes.
