The Oglogchiin Kherem is a 3,2 m stone wall in Batshireet Sum of Khentii Aimag, thought to date from the 8th century and built at the mouth of Daichin Mountain, surrounded by pine and larch forests. The walls are nearly 3 meters wide, with two gates’ tracks in the wall and the ruins of buildings within. Wall stones can be seen clearly in the south-eastern and eastern walls, but are nearly gone in the western walls. The wall is 2 m thick, with average heights of 2.5-4.5 m and 3.1 m at the tallest places. Because there are no building remains in the wall but flat terraces, it could be an archers’ stronghold from the 12-13th century or a royal cemetery due to the large number of ancient tombs discovered within it.
