Bor Khyariin Sand Dunes are located in Zavkhan Province, Western Mongolia, and are 180 kilometers long, 15 kilometers wide, and 300 meters high. The sand dune includes a few passageways and provides a lovely panoramic view of the area. A 200-kilometer-long river, the Khungiin, runs through the sand dunes and is an important life source for desert nomads and their cattle.
Beautiful lakes Bayan Nuur and Ulaagchinii Khar Nuur, located on the north side of a sand dune, provide breathtaking scenery bordering alpine and desert zones.
