Noyon Uul is another stunning Gobi Desert peak, located around 200 kilometers from Dalanzadgad. For ages, the mountain in the midst of the Gobi, with an average altitude of 1,799 meters above sea level, has been a major life supply for humans and wild animals in the region. It provides excellent protection from strong winds, cutting sand storms, and the harboring of a few streams, creating a mini-paradise in the area. In the summer, the mountain blooms with wildflowers and lush vegetation, contrasting with the impoverished sand soil just a few kilometers away. We’ll drive across the mountain, which has a weirdly shaped creation of large boulders and cliffs with diverse colors (red, white) due to long-term erosion.
