Tolbo nuur is a 185-square-kilometer lake with a surface elevation of 2.080 meters above sea level. The lake is about 10 km broad, 18 km long, and 10 meters deep, and the water is perfectly clear and pure. The lake is on the main route that connects Olgii and Khovd. The lake was the location of a historic fight during Mongolia’s struggle for independence in the 1920s, and various memorials honor Mongolian soldiers’ valor.
